How I Escaped Failure while I was Learning How to Fast

By Roman White

Many people fast but as they are learning how to fast they aren't convinced if they will make it to the finish of their fast. As a matter of fact many people have attempted fasting and failed to carry out their fasts. The feel like they failed the Lord as well as themselves and this leaves them with a sensation of condemnation and sorrow. Having been in that postion myself, I comprehend how aweful those feelings of remorse can be.

Conviction of yourself is not the response when you find yourself in a occasion like this. You should remember that temptation is a common thing to all people. That means just like you are tempted to dine and compromise someone else was tempted to the same amount if not more. Not only that, but someone has overcome that indentical temptation. When you are learning how to fast well you can overcome this obstablce as well.

Whenever you quit a fast you can always start again, there actually is no reason not to. Scripture is filled with stories of folks who have failed and learned how to overcome in the finish. I personally have had to contend with this.

There are numerous reasons that I have failed in my fasts. Perhaps I failed to pick a worthy enough purpose Maybe I didn't have any accountability. Other times I might not have been encouraging myself in the word of God like i should have been.

Becoming a person who fasts confidently didn't happen over night, I failed quite a few times in the beginning. Inwardly i just knew that if i had the correct things in place I could do it. Here is a fantastic report that you can read to help in times of temptation and whenever you are feeling sorry for having quit your fast.
